After months of teasing, Sony is giving us the final trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, opening May 2 (the film opens April 18 overseas).
And in case you didn’t already know, Spidey is going to be battling a whole whack of villains this time out.
Your favourite neighbourhood webslinger will be facing Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Paul Giamatti’s Rhino, B.J. Novak’s Alistair Smythe and Dane DeHann’s Green Goblin. Chris Cooper’s Norman Osborn is also lurking nefariously in the background.
Presumably some of this will be a set up for the upcoming Sinister Six and Venom spinoff films.
“What have you been up to?” DeHann’s Harry Osborn asks Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker in the opening. “I do some web design,” Parker quips.
The new trailer recycles some imagery from the previous trailers – including the falling Gwen Stacy sequence that hints to The Night Gwen Stacy Died storyline from the comics – but we get an extended peek at DeHann’s Green Goblin as he squares off against Spidey as well as fresh looks at Electro and Rhino.
